These are addictive! You can use any color of the vanilla melting candies so that they fit the holiday or occasion. For example, yesterday I used Vibrant Green and called them “Slime Clusters” for Halloween (Note: I did have to add several drops of green food coloring since the color of the melting candy is affected when you mix in the peanut butter).
Ingredients
1 package of melting candy
1/2 cup peanut butter, chunky
1 cup peanuts, unsalted or lightly salted
1 1/2 cups marshmallows, mini
2 cups Rice Krispies
Directions
1. In a double boiler (I love the de Buyer Bain-Marie), melt the candies.
2. Add peanut butter and mix well. At this point, you might want to add food coloring if you are trying for a specific color. I typically don’t add food coloring.
3. While the candy is melting, combine the peanuts, marshmallows and Rice Krispies in a large bowl.

4. Add melting candy mixture to the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir until combined.

5. Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls onto a silpat (or wax paper). They can be very close to one another (to save center space) since they aren’t going to expand. Let them harden then transfer to an air tight container until ready to serve.
